Mmmm. Praise be Pere Callahan!
Perhaps a catastrophic sign.
hell if i know. --- Have I mentioned I hate LJ?

I used to have clear reasons for everything but the last few months it's become quite...muddled. ech.

The Ring? not scary. Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Yeah, whatever. The Hills Have Eyes? Wow, this is lame. Night of The Living Dead (revised)? er...hey, you know the original is at least a good movie, right?
And so it goes.
28 Weeks Later? Holy crap, thats creepy as fuck.
One of the cooler things about living here is being able to get into the press screenings for movies.
Like 28 Weeks later. which is creepy as fuck. And really, thats like the first movie since what?
By Dawn's Early Light? i think that I found creepy. And BDEL is a nuclear war movie.
What can I say? "Horror" movies bore me. the "28 X Later" franchise totally seems different though. Still, not scary, just creepy.

The Gunslinger Born came out today. It's stunningly cool. it bring visuals to all those images in my head, and I imagined Alain to be taller, and lankier. More like Roland. Still though, this might be the coolest thing i've seen in a long time. I also got the alternate cover because Roland looks like The Saint of Killers on it.
also, finally, saw Children of Men. Why cant more movies be like that? fuck. and just when I was starting to believe nothing good or particularly original came from theatres anymore.
oh. gotta go. Lost is back.

So awhile back my computer had a "catastrophic event" (You like that? I stole it from NASA.). Currently I'm running a PIII 933. It was laying in my closet. I had to rip parts out of two other machines to get it to work, but there you go. Now I sit near it with two other computers floating around me. On the bright side, I found a 15" flatscreen I didn't even know I had.
All things considered, though I miss my p4.
So now I need to build a system for Vista and Halo 2 PC and maybe something that'll run Guild Wars at something approaching warp speed. Which also reminds me, do they still make 4x AGP cards? Since GW doesn't support the GeForce2, and my spiffy Radeon is 8x, I need a GeForce3 or Radeon...8500 (i think) thats 4x...or PCI but that would be so.sad.i'd.cry.
Anyway. Short version: back online.

Dude. Two Christmas parties (Jerseys - $2 drinks, noon to midnight, and work - Bowling, which means drink a lot and throw heavy balls around) in three days...I still feel ill.
Ben, on Saturday: "LUIS! How are you feeling?" me: "ugh. Still ugh." ben: "Yeah, you were totally playing pinball off the wall and the tables" me: "Joy. I'm personally suprised I'm standing right now. Yes. Shocked."

Kanon occasionally acquires some comics for people as he runs across them. It's usually not too hard, I mean, I like Ennis and some random foreign stuff and pretty much anythign by Dark Horse, so I'm easy.
Recently, for me he got:
Judge Dredd: The Early Cases 1-6 Judge Dredd: Crime File 1-6 Judge Dredd: The Judge Child Quest 1-5 2000 AD featuring Judge Dredd Monthly 1-6 Judge Dredd 1-37 The New Look Judge Dredd 1-7
And random other 2000AD inspired comics like Strontium Dog and Rogue Trooper.
( So lets all say it together then )
Also, I picked up Civil War #5 with the alternate cover, because, damn. Thats too cool not to own.
And, if you're keeping up with the Civil War stuff, the flipside of the Spider Man/Punisher meeting is in Punisher: Civil War Journal #1, and is totally worth it. I <3 Punisher, though, dont tell anyone.

Fine. FINE!
Fuck you Bungie. It's your fault I'm buying an Xbox 360.
Total cost for Halo 3: $660.
because it's not like I'll buy any other games for it.
bloody hell, at least I have until November or so.

Well. I guess I'll be watching Monday Night Football tonight.
No, I haven't developed a thing for football. I can't even tell you who is playing. What I do know however is that the new Halo 3 commercial will be airing.
Mmmm.
Master Chief.
So...irked.

"I came here to lose! bring it!"
So not sure how this happened
Second post. Second place out of 16, I think it was. maybe 14. So confused.
MVP goes to my Tomb King and the 20-strong unit of Tomb Guard he was cruising around with.

My friend Kanon (Who is annoyingly l33t, and happens to also manage the game store where I hang out when I'm not busy doing stuff like, I dunno, drinking.) finally badgered me enough to get me to compete in a Warhammer Fantasy tournament tomorrow, using my woefully inadequate Tomb Kings on foot army. At, like, 9.45.
And, knowing my luck, I'll get paired up with someone who's actually good in the first round. On the bright side, a first round loss means that I wont win anything and I can concentrate on amusing myself instead of being all wonky and competitive. I'll be seriously annoyed if I have to play Wood Elves.

I actually got into an argument with the guy at the Game Stop down the street form my work about wether or not he could help me because I walked into the store wearing my Flyers John LeClair jersey and he was ranting about how the Flyers beat the Devils in the playoffs.
I'm totally inviting him to 'my' bar next time the Flyers play the Devils.
